MoniWatt for Pytes: your questions

If your question is not here, write to [email protected]. We read every message.

Which Pytes batteries are supported?

We target the Pytes E-Box 48100R and the V5 family, which share the console port this box reads. If you have another Pytes model, tell us which one when you order: we will check it before shipping, and if it turns out not to be supported you get a full refund.

Why is it a pre-order?

Each box is prepared for the Pytes model you tell us about, loaded with its Pytes firmware and tested on Pytes hardware before it is packed. That takes a little time, and we prefer a box that works on day one to a fast parcel.

When will it ship?

On 10 November 2026: this is a pre-order. If we cannot make it, we refund you in full unless you choose to wait. You can also cancel at any time before shipping.

Will it interfere with my inverter?

No. The inverter talks to the battery through the CAN or RS485 port, which you leave untouched. MoniWatt for Pytes uses the separate console port and only reads.

Does it need the internet?

No. The screen, the local dashboard, MQTT and the JSON API all work on your home network only. The internet is needed only if you switch on remote access and history.

What Wi-Fi does it need?

A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network reaching the battery. Most home routers broadcast 2.4 GHz alongside 5 GHz under the same name, which works fine.

How is it powered?

Through USB-C from any phone charger. It draws less than a watt; it does not take power from the battery.

Can I monitor several Pytes batteries?

Yes, connected to the master battery of a parallel bank. Tell us how many batteries you have and how they are linked, so we test that layout.

What is the warranty?

Two years, as required by European law, plus a 14-day right of withdrawal after delivery. If your exact model turns out not to be supported, you can return the box within 30 days for a full refund, and we pay the return shipping.

Is this an official Pytes product?

No. MoniWatt for Pytes is an independent accessory designed in France by the team behind Pylon-Monitor. Pytes is a trademark of its owner.
